I'm on fireeee

Stevie turned me on to this stellar hair color. I am pretty sure I need it to be on top of my head, you know; attached to my hair. This will be more bold than any font i've used before, but I think I am going to take a leap and do it.

Chanel Couture Spring 2009

I love the head pieces.

I'm feeling a bit lethargic today. I just spent 6 straight hours uploading information onto Arizona Foothills' website ( I intern there.) Let me tell you was it thrilling. No, but really, it is an awesome magazine. I am excited to be getting the experience I am. Yay for internships!

I LOVE music and when someone loves music they are bound to love music festivals, and I DO! The reason behind this post is because I am currently looking up tickets for this years COACHELLA! I have always wanted to go and never had the chance so this year I am determined. I can't wait to see The Killers, The Hold Steady, The Ting Tings, Atmosphere, Henry Rollins, X, The Cure, Peter Bjorn and John, Franz Ferdinand, Morrissey and like 50 others!

Here are some festival appropriate clothes for you to look good and relax to awesome tunes. (Not necessarily worn together..)

John French

My friend Stevie turned me on to John French on Fashion Victim and I have to say I'm addicted. John French was a top fashion photographer in London in the 50s and 60s and his photos to this day are very inspirational for outfits ideas. He photographed famous models and society figures during that time and became really famous overnight. Here are some of my favorites..

Stevie said she is trying to make the checkered bonnet in the photo above and I hope she does because I love it.

summertime

For some reason I have been longing for summer to arrive. I can almost feel the summer sun on my skin, see the crystal blue pool water and taste the salt on a margarita. Mmm.

Even though I live in Arizona, I still have a bit of time for all that so for now I will just plan what I am going to wear when that fabulous time comes..

I am in love with the black, retro suit from Urban .

By the way, whomever thought that you had to show your midriff in a bathing suit to be sexy was obviously horribly mistaken.

Glam*rock

When I was in high school I went through my "I need to be a rock star" stage. I thought about it all the time. I learned to play guitar and I added studs to my already hole-infested boy shorts that I purchased from Savers. I looked up to women like Shirley Manson and Courtney Love but Gwen Stefani has always been my go-to girl. Her bleached blonde hair, crimson lips and glam-rock style has been my biggest fashion inspiration.

I used to learn how to play old-school No Doubt songs on my guitar like, Sailin' On and pretend that I was her by doing this weird quiver thing with my voice that in reality, only she can pull off. Her voice was so unique and everything about her just rocked. Anyways-- back to my point. Her original style has always been an inspiration to me. I love how she sticks to her signature look that combines rock-n-roll and Jamaican Rastas. Here is a little tribute to Gwen.
