black friday

It's safe to say that shopping is one of my favorite activities, however even I can't bring myself to want to go shopping on Black Friday. This is because I like to refer to Black Friday as "amateur hour”. These are the folks that don't usually frequent malls and only emerge from their outdated caves on this particular day to snag the discounts and get their Christmas shopping done early so they won’t have to leave the cave again until next year.

The reason I loathe shopping next to these people is because they simply aren’t aware of the common courtesies that regular mall-goers should know.

Nothing frustrates me more than rack hogs. Rack hogs are people who just can’t make their minds about a piece of clothing, so instead of grabbing the garment and relocating to a more appropriate decision-making spot, they “hog the rack” and ponder preventing anyone else from browsing said items.

In my opinion, hustling is the golden rule of shopping. It’s safe to say we don’t have all day to leisurely shop. Well, that’s not true because I do live in Scottsdale and the majority of mall-goers do in fact have ALL DAY to spend money, but that’s an irregularity. Hustling is important because you want to cover as many stores as possible and make sure you’ve seen all the items in a timely matter. You never want to miss out on anything.

This is a problem for the “rack hogs” because they also want to see all the items in the store, but they do not understand the hustle part to this strategy.

All in all, I personally do not want to be a shopping companion of the rack hogs who roll themselves out of bed at unreasonable hours on this day just to be the first in line at Macy's in hopes they can snag those 75% off 800-thread-count Calvin Klein sheets. I like to think I’m a loyal shopper and do not necessitate discounted TV’s or UGG boots in order for me to go shopping.

Love will

It's been forever since I've posted a blog. I've had so much going on and nothing at the same time... if that makes sense. So I have really no excuse for my laziness.

I've been trying my hardest to get into the holiday spirit but it's difficult when I work everyday, the temperature is still in the high 80's and the mere fact that my life is so mundane I didn't even realize Thanksgiving was in two days.

I'm happy this year is approaching its end so I can start fresh in 2010 and hopefully make some changes in my life because if I've learned anything this year, it's that love will tear us apart.

All Those Nasty Gals

For whatever reason I've failed to regularly update my blog. Sorry, it's not like I'm busy.

These are some of my favorite looks from Nasty Gal.

I'm kind of hoping it will just be winter already so I can finally sport some fur and blazers.

Guess I just need to get out of AZ sooner than I thought. Have a nice day.
